Coaching tips for soccer

• Aim for the corners the keeper is leaning away from. In penalty games the keeper reads your habits — alternate sides and heights or you'll be scouted by the third kick.
• Curve is a direction, not a decoration. On free kicks, start the ball outside the post and bend it back; a straight shot at a set wall is a donation.
• Shoot low under pressure. When a defender is closing, a low driven shot leaves less time to be blocked than a floated one, in these games as on real pitches.
